I’ve always been a curious person, a seeker. I love exploring, learning, and diving deep into whatever captivates me. It’s a trait I cherish. But in March 2021, after working on a film project for seven months straight, logging 60- to 80-hour weeks, I found myself utterly depleted. I asked myself, “What’s next?”—but not with excitement. Instead, I felt nothing. No drive, no inspiration—just exhaustion.
At that moment, I knew something had to change. My nervous system was shot. I was burnt out mentally and physically. Tasks that were once simple became monumental. Joy and pleasure seemed out of reach. The idea of doing another commercial project, something that had once fueled me, now left me empty. What I didn’t realize then was that I was standing at the edge of a deeper, more conscious journey.
For years, I’d been in and out of talk therapy. Sometimes it helped, sometimes it didn’t. Therapy allowed me to understand myself—my history, my patterns—but understanding alone wasn’t enough. It didn’t create the change I needed to live the life I truly wanted. It was like knowing how the engine worked but never taking the car out for a drive. I needed something deeper.
I’d dabbled with psychedelics since high school. Back then, they were just fun, exciting and what I now call ‘celebratory’ experiences. But as I started learning about their healing potential and working with them alongside my therapist, psychedelics took on a new meaning. When COVID hit, everything shifted. The world slowed down, and so did I. That’s when I truly began to work with these medicines to get to the root of what was blocking me.
One of the biggest realizations was how much of my life I’d spent seeking—validation, money, power, distraction. My work in film fed those desires, but it was never enough. Now I know that what I was truly seeking was within me all along: self-love, sovereignty, abundance. These weren’t things I had to chase—they were things I needed to nurture within myself.
I realized that to live the life I wanted, I had to change. And change doesn’t come in big, sweeping gestures—it comes in small, deliberate steps. It’s about slowing down, feeling into what’s true, and making space for growth. One of the biggest steps I took was changing careers. No one told me that you could have more than one career in life, but it’s true. We evolve, we shift, and we pivot.
Today, I have pleasure, fun, and joy in my life again. I’m supported by an amazing community, and the work I do as a psychedelic integration coach brings me immense reward and fulfillment. Helping others heal and transform has given me a sense of purpose I never found before.
What I’ve learned is that feeling stuck isn’t permanent. We change. People change. And as the world shifts around us, we must adapt. When we allow ourselves to break free from old narratives, it’s liberating.
That’s what I hope to inspire in others—hope, liberation, and the understanding that no one is stuck forever. Change is always possible. When we embrace it, we begin to feel truly free.
